Is ACCD for Christians?

On one hand...
  • These trainings are specifically marketed to Christians as Christian growth seminars
  • ACCD promoters are often in leadership in churches and leverage their positions to market the trainings
  • There are bible verses and Christian quotes on the wall during the seminar

    On the other hand...
  • There is substantial use of new age / occult exercises
  • Potentially dangerous psychological exercises are used by unlicenced practicioners outside of a clinical environment with no follow-up monitoring
  • In 33+ hours of personal growth training at Discovery, there was no mention of the need of Christ or God.
  • Among other things, these trainings teach you that you can transform your life without God, that the physical universe is truth, that instinct should be bypassed, that the ends justify the means, and that psychological exercises can take the place of the Holy Spirit
  • It leads to the formation of an elite group of trained people that are on the "inside"
  • The trainings are designed with a mix of Scientology, Buddhism, Hinduism, Hedeggerism, and Secular Humanism - none of which are compatible with Christianity.
  • The Lifespring training used by ACCD is used by MSIA('messiah') as a recruitment tool into their cult
  • These trainings are designed to 'break' people.
  • Trainers regularly use foul language
  • People occasionally have serious mental problems following these types of trainings
  • No refunds are given even when these sorts of problems arise
  • No hint is ever given that these trainings might be controversial or dangerous
